AstrA started as a Dream Theater cover band.
In May 2002 they won the first Italian Official Dream Theater Tribute Band Contest organised by Italian Dreamers, the Italian Official Dream Theater Fan Club, and got to perform one gig with Jordan Rudess, at the Fan Club's 10-year party.
